Natalie refers to herself as a “Quereinsteiger” to Irish Dancing having started in 1987 with American Tap Dance and later Appalachian Flatfoot Clogging. Her most important teachers in Irish dancing were Melliora Heeney-Duffy, Dundalk, and Angeline Whelan, Dublin. Natalie started teaching Irish Dancing in 1996. She now has her own studio in Wiesbaden, and also gives regular classes in Giessen and Kelsterbach, as well as workshops all over (details on www.fiddle-and-feet.de ) .
Natalie is a senior instructor with the Irish National Folk Company, Dublin, and their official representative in Germany. In cooperation with the INFC she offers a one-year Irish dancing instructor's course (12 intensive weekends cover 24 céilí dances as well as softshoe and hardshoe dances from beginners to intermediate level, for more information and syllabus please mail to firstname.lastname@example.org ).
Natalie dances regularly with the Scottish / Irish folk band Scapa Flow (www.scapaflow.de) and also plays the bodhrán.
